Why? Because Bentz believes in his products and this belief has only been reinforced by the passage of time.
Any train or part in need of repair under normal & reasonable use will be fixed for free (including shipping & handling) at Bentz's expense; simply send Bentz the broken piece by standard airmail (using the address on his "Contact" page) and he will return it to you fixed or replaced, along with a reimbursement check for whatever postal fees you incurred.

BUILT-TO-LAST
All trains use a combination of different wood types selected to maximize durability and insure beauty at an affordable price: including maple, pine, and a local hardwood called "buk". Each piece of wood is carefully inspected before being used; and all additonal materials (glue, string, eye-screws, paint, etc) are of the finest quality available. For example, most woodworkers slice their wheels from long broomstick-like dowels...which is fast and easy, but not very durable since the grain runs in the "wrong" direction and results in a wheel that can easily chip and break. Bentz, however, goes the "extra mile", cutting his wheels from pieces of full maple...insuring that the grain runs in the strongest possible direction and that the trains run on forever & ever.

the eye-screw connectors between the train compartments have been meticulously bent to insure that there are absolutely no sharp edges; furthermore, they are firmly tightened and glued into a hardware dowel, insuring that they cannot be dislodged without using excessive adult force.
